The encampment under the freeway on Grand Ave between MacArthur Blvd and Lake Park has returned. The signs that were posted on the fence saying no encampments, no dumping were torn off.

AIM school students are having to witness the lack of the city's care for their welfare, having to dodge human feces, experience the pungent odor of urine, see used syringes, person(s) laid in trash.......this has been going on for so long that most of the students have never experienced anything different on their way to and from school.
Is there anyone in in Oakland city government that that can provide " Services for each and every neighborhood. Our city must provide equitable services that create healthy, clean, safe environments for all our kids to play and walk to school ?"

Oakland City Council unanimously voted to approve the Encampment Management Policy, meant to “protect and serve all Oaklanders, sheltered and unsheltered, and to manage the adverse impacts of homeless camps by balancing the interests of all residents (i.e. unhoused, housed, business community).” In fact, this policy was intended to reinforce laws that are already in existence in Oakland, but that are not being enforced by the city.
